Pelican Wharf is the newest Seafood Restaurant of the finest group of restaurants on the Gulf Coast. Lookout Steakhouse, Salute Italian, The Reef, Baja Beach, Kellys Sports Pub are the other restaurants owned by this award winning group! Rob Stinson, Denis Trochesset, Cory Fazzio and the entire team associated with this restaurant have opened over forty restaurants in their history, and are especially thrilled to open a true Cajun Grill known as “Pelican Wharf.” Rob Stinson and Denis Trochesset started on the Gulf Coast in Long Beach Harbor in May of 2002 with their first collaboration called “Long Beach Lookout.” Miss Katrina, the hurricane, was not nice to the restaurant in August of 2005, and the Lookout was completely destroyed. Lookout 49 was the first restaurant to relocate and reopen in the State of Mississippi after Katrina, and met with incredible success. Forced to leave the location, the new and final destination of Lookout Steakhouse in downtown Gulfport in a magnificent historical building reminiscent of famous buildings of the French Quarter in New Orleans. Lookout features much more than steak: It has won awards for the Best Seafood on the Coast. Seafood has been a specialty of the restaurant group for many years, and Salute Seafood Italian Restaurant on the beach in Gulfport has demonstrated the diversity of this cuisine. Salute was built in the aftermath of Katrina and was the first restaurant to rebuild on the beach. Salute has won the “Best Italian Restaurant,” Covey award for 4 years in a row. Designed by Stinson, Trochesset and Fazzio, this award winning restaurant features much more than just Italian using local seafood in traditional Italian cuisine. Opening new restaurants has never been more successful for this restaurant group than when they opened The Reef on Biloxi Beach. This incredible building sits on the beach and features the largest original work of art in the state of Mississippi: The Wall: Painted by the most famous local artist, Marty Wilson, the mural is 170 feet by 80 feet tall. It is adorned with local seafood: Tuna, Grouper, Mahi Mahi, Sea Turtle, Sharks and many other local varieties. The Reef has been incredibly successful in achieving success with both locals and tourists alike. Soon thereafter Baja Beach was completed next door to Pelican Wharf. It is an authentic Tex Mex concept making fresh tortillas for all to see as soon as they walk in the door. The concept was simple: give great, fresh food in an innovative manner using local ingredients in a creative manner. It has gained great acclaim as the finest Mexican restaurant on the Coast of Mississippi. Now comes Pelican Wharf- a Cajun Grill!
